October 2007

To all MSIS Addressees,

At Slammer & Squire (SS) we found out who the 'Mudders' are.  It was a very sloppy track.  It is too bad about the conditions as we really enjoy playing the courses at World Golf Village.

Thanks to all the people who helped out at SS.  That includes General Manager Cathy HarbinHead Pro at SS Jamie Selby and his assistant Dylan Shook, Team Rep Jock Ochiltree, Roy Gulick, John Pujol, Mark Good, Carl Arnold, Glenn Dobrick, Ken Peyser, Paul Anderson, and Marv Rodgers.

It was nice to see John Lopiano (PA) and George Halvorsen (ML) back in action.  Both are recovering from long illnesses.

SCORECARDS

Our biggest problem????  Some of you are still marking an "X" for pick-up holes.  Please use a zero (0) instead. How hard can that be?

Also, we had few of cards where one number was written on top of or under another number.  We don't have time to chase you all down to determine the correct score so we opt for the highest number.  You should be aware of this.  Find a better way to make your corrections clear to us.  The competitor is responsible to make sure we can read the card.  Do not rely on your scorekeeper.  If you aren't happy with the card, fix it before you sign it.

FINANCIAL NEWS

Our Google AdSense account has generated $99.53 in revenue so far.  It was $82.28 last month.  It is unusual for us to generate that much income in a month.  Keep up the good work.  That money is held in escrow until such time as it reaches $100.  At that time, Google will pay us in full.  It appears that I will be applying for our payment within a few days.

We are paid for clicks on any of the Google ads.  When you are on our web site, look the ads over.  If you see anything of interest, by all means check it out.  Also, when you need to do a search of the Internet, please go to our web page and search from there.  We are also paid for all Google searches from our pages.

Our savings account balance at Citi Bank is:

    Last Month's Bal    $127.52
    Interest 9-24-07                .55
    Balance                    $128.07

ARTICLES

Articles of interest to MSIS members are accepted and will be published in this report.  Just email your article to me.  You must sign it.

I am sure that you all see or hear things at our matches that would be of interest to us all.  Funny stories about things that happen on the course.  They don't have to be the absolute truth!  Brag about a great hole you played or a great shot you hit.  Here again, you may stretch the truth.  Write them up and send them to me.  It would make this a much more interesting publication.
