Monthly Newsletter

November 2007

To all MSIS Addressees,

We ought to be getting into pretty good shape what with all the walking we have done in the past two months.  The weather was perfect but the pace of play was very slow due to the cart path only restriction.  Actually, we are trying to wear out that gang of bandits from Orange Park with the walking requirement.  So far our plan is a miserable failure as they continue to march toward the 2007 Brady Cup Championship.

Thanks to all the people who helped out at QH.  That includes Team Rep Jim Brady, Roy Gulick, John Pujol, Larry Von Dolteren (huh?), Glenn Dobrick, Nick Kaufman, Ed. Nevar, Jerry Domask, and Dave Alessi.

BRADY CUP MATCH

The Brady Cup match will be played January 7, 2008 at Deerwood Country Club.  At this match the top four teams in the 2007 standings will be paired together.  Also, the points for the match will be doubled.  That gives a few of you a chance to catch Orange Park.

We like to give lots of door prizes after this match.  I am soliciting donations.  I need your help.  Get what you can.  We always have lots of rounds of golf.  How about more merchandise prizes this year.  Or dinner coupons, golf clubs, new cars, hotel or resort stays, golf balls, trips to Hawaii..... use your imagination.  It would be nice if we could get at least one donation from each team.

This is our 10th anniversary.  It should be special.

ARTICLES

Articles of interest to MSIS members are accepted and will be published in this report.  Just email your article to me.  You must sign it.

I am sure that you all see or hear things at our matches that would be of interest to us all.  Funny stories about things that happen on the course.  They don't have to be the absolute truth!  Brag about a great hole you played or a great shot you hit.  Here again, you may stretch the truth.  Write them up and send them to me.  It would make this a much more interesting publication.
