We had nice event at Hidden Hills but it was not without its problems.  Number 8 green was in terrible shape.  Hidden Hills has had a fungus in this green for some time.  Other than that the course was in good shape.  There was a shortage of food when it came time for the volunteers to eat.  I think some of you players may have taken more than your share.  I have spoken to HH ant they will try to do better the next time around.

We only had two changes to the rosters after they were submitted for this match.  That is very good.

We are still having problems getting all the scorecards to the scoring table.  We were missing two cards at this event.

Thanks to all the people who helped out at Hidden Hills.  That includes Roy Gulick, Ted Hopkins, PGA ProfessionalWayne Ulmer, Assistant Pro, Carl Arnold, HH Team Rep, Larry Von Dolteren SNTom Wallon HH, Larry Dismore HH, and Mike Cooper SN.

SCORECARDS

The scorecards were very good this month.  There were only a few cards where legibility was an issue.  The big problem is getting people to turn their cards in before leaving the course.  It looks like some are relying on others to turn in their cards.  That may be a bad practice.  I have done that myself and have been lucky so far.  In the future I am going to make darn sure my card is put in the box at the scoring table by ME.

Does anyone have a suggestion what we can do about this problem?  Maybe we should make each player turn in his card before he can have a meal ticket.  By not turning in a card, it not only cost the player and his team their earned points, it also slows us all down in getting the awards presented and getting on the road home.  HELP!!!

SCORING:

I found no errors made by the scoring guys this moth.  Great job!

ARTICLES

Articles of interest to MSIS members are accepted and will be published in this report.  Just email your article to me.  You must sign it.

I am sure that you all see or hear things at our matches that would be of interest to us all.  Funny stories about things that happen on the course.  They don't have to be the absolute truth!  Brag about a great hole you played or a great shot you hit.  Here again, you may stretch the truth.  Write them up and send them to me.  It would make this a much more interesting publication.
