November 2009

MATCH DAY

It was nearly perfect for golf at Deercreek.  Maybe a little breezy but nice.  The course was in good condition with fast greens and high rough.  All 15 teams and 119 players were there for this event.  The scoring was not up to par.  Maybe due to the wind and hard fast greens.

THE BATTLE FOR THE CUP:

SCORECARDS

Your scorecards were good this month although there were a few legibility problems.  We found no cards with missing signatures.

SCORING

The scoring committee did an excellent job this month, making only one error!  That is fantastic when you consider the amount of data that we handle and all of the commotion around us as we work.

The one error was pointed out by the player and it was fixed.  We had enter the wrong player ID# and that gave us the wrong player name and wrong handicap.  Our workers did not notice that?????

Thanks for all the help with the post-match scoring at Deercreek.  Those who helped were Glenn Dobrick (SG), Don Poppleton (WG), Joe Power (EH), Dave Noble (DC), Ron Widlak (DC), Mark Snitzer (DC), and Arch Copeland (DC).

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: None
