I wasn't there but it was reported to be a fine day at Marsh Creek. We only had 119 players as one poor fellow went to the wrong 'Marsh' (Marsh Landing) and missed the match.
The scores seem to be lower than usual. The conditions must have been difficult.
Much thanks goes out to Roy Gulick who did a wonderful job in filling my shoes.

First place for the day was grabbed by Marsh Landing who seems to play well at any club called 'Marsh'. These fellows are making a habit of finishing in the money. As a consequence, they have a firm grip on the top spot in the Brady Cup Standings. See the standings.
Marsh Landing finished with 259 points. They were led by George Halvorsen and Joseph Aoki who each had 41 points. John Tancredi added another 38 points.
The home team, Marsh Creek was second at 252 points. Don Brockmeyer had 42 points, Rob Beebe
had 38, and three other players had 36.
Third place was taken by Sawgrass with a score of 246. SG was led by
38
points from both Bill Monteith and Tom Petrie. They had 3 other players who made 37 points.
The team from Hidden Hills, with a score of 241 won a tie-breaker over Eagle Harbor and took fourth place. They were led by 38 points from both
Steve Bona and Mark Morrison. Keith Hansen added 37 points.

Those of you who keep your own personal calendar will want to make sure they are up-to-date. We have made a recent change to our MSIS calendar as follows:
The Orange Park event in June has been moved to Thursday, June 24, 8:30 am.
Please change your calendars accordingly.
SCORECARDS
Your scorecards were good this month although there were a few legibility problems. Remember, you are personally responsible for your card even though someone else kept your score.
Always remember
that you should NEVER pick-up on a hole until you have reached your maximum ESC score AND you can no longer score a point. For speed of play reasons, always pick-up at that point and enter a zero on the scorecard.
Also, NEVER stroke control your score. The computers will do that for you.
SCORING
The biggest problem here was two players
who failed to turn in their scorecards. That always slows things down!
Much thanks to all of you who helped with the scoring at Marsh Creek. Those who worked were Roy Gulick MP, Bob Hubbard OP, John Pujol QH, Bob Kerr MC, Mark Good DC, Odie Skeen MC, and Ralph Crandall MC.
COMPUTERS and OPERATORS NEEDED
We are getting near a critical shortage of laptop owners who are willing to bring their computer to the matches and help us with the after match scoring.
If you qualify, please identify yourself to me or to your Team Rep. We offer low or no wages, a lot of pressure, on-the-job training and a nasty boss.
All kidding aside, alternatives to our computerized scoring are NOT pretty. Please come forward with your offer to help.
We also need a guy who is not playing on match day, to ride shotgun on the computer set-up. He would be there about
one hour before we finish playing golf. He would make sure the table, chairs, extension cord, and power strip are in the best position for us. Then he would power up all the computers and have the flash drives in place ready to roll. Is anyone out there interested in trying this assignment? Would any of you who are mending physically be interested? Let me know. Next match is at Jacksonville Golf & CC.

I lost the installation files for the Scorekeeper software that I use to track handicaps, do pairings, and maintain our database of players. Mark II Systems no longer had a copy of the old software, so I was forced to upgrade. The latest version of the software has some nice new features. Bottom line: the $59.95 expense that you see above.
